Now, under new private ownership and a new name, The Poconos Club is poised for a bright future while honoring the timeless golf experience that made it special in the first place.

Designed by acclaimed golf course architect Jim Fazio, The Poconos Club layout captures the essence of mountain golf. With dramatic elevation changes, pristine bent grass fairways, and over 40 acres of protected wetlands, the 18-hole course presents a scenic but stern test for golfers of every skill level. Golfers will enjoy incredible views from elevated tees, but they’ll need to hit accurate drives to stay out of trouble — especially on the tighter holes where fairways weave through wooded corridors and over natural water features.

Stretching just under 5,900 yards from the back tees, this par-70 track plays tougher than its yardage suggests, thanks to a 71.2 course rating and 137 slope. Tee shots demand precision, and approaches are often framed by subtle elevation changes and strategically placed hazards. Golfers who manage their game well will find the course to be as rewarding as it is beautiful.

A golf cart is required for all players, due to the long transitions between holes, but that’s part of the charm — those in-between moments offer sweeping mountain views and a chance to soak in one of the region’s most tranquil settings.

While the clubhouse renovation is still in planning, the existing space remains open and is available to host private events, community functions, and corporate outings. The new ownership team is working diligently to lay the foundation for long-term improvements, ensuring that The Poconos Club continues to grow while maintaining the natural character and playability golfers have always appreciated.
