Porter Gibson in 1994, it owes its 71.3/121 course/slope rating to tricky hole locations, large natural waste areas and a few wicked doglegs. Though its par-3s don't rank too high on the handicap index, they're longer on average than most courses of comparable length and are all-too-easy to drop a stroke on.

Of course, the longer par-3s add up to shorter par-4s, so there are plenty of opportunities to get a few back. Your best bet is to take advantage of No. 7, a 334-yard par-4 and the easiest hole on the course, and finish strong on Nos. 16, 17 and 18.
