Crystal Woods Golf Club
A gorgeous 18-hole adventure awaits you with today’s feature: $20 for 18 Holes with Cart at Crystal Woods Golf Club in Woodstock near Elgin ($58 Value. Expires November 15, 2016!)
What started its life as the 9-hole Bit O’Heather Golf Club in the 1950s is now one of Northern Illinois’ most enjoyable and picturesque 18-hole layouts: Crystal Woods Golf Club. Expanded and re-imagined from the original nine by architect Charles Wagstaff, Crystal Woods now stretches over 6,400 yards from the back tees, presenting a true can’t-miss challenge for the golfer of any skill level.
The gorgeous Illinois countryside is really shown off in this inspired layout, with pockets of water, areas of mature trees, and plenty of elevation changes all coming into play throughout your round. The back and front nine both offer unique challenges to different parts of your game, but each require expert shot execution and course management in the face of prevailing winds if you want to shoot a low score. Be especially wary of Crystal Woods’ signature 12th hole – one of the most challenging in holes McHenry County and certainly the most testy on this 70.6/128-rated layout. Equipped with an elevated tee box and a two-tiered green protected by water, you’ll be more than happy to walk away with bogey here.
Crystal Woods not only offers you a great course on which to test you skills, it also features a golf facility full of every amenity you’ll need to set your day of fun apart from the rest. For golfers looking to warm up before their round, the full-service natural driving range and short game area make it easy to get course-ready before hitting the first tee. Looking to upgrade what’s in your bag? The fully stocked pro shop has everything you need to start playing your best golf. Crystal Woods is also home to the 9-hole Craig Woods Executive Course, located just across Route 47, one of the finest executive courses in the state.
Family owned and operated, the awesome playing experience at Crystal Woods is not one you’ll want to miss. Take advantage of today’s feature and pencil in a great round of golf for this upcoming season!
